The Permitting Institute Membership

A unified voice delivering lasting improvements to the permitting process.

Currently, advocates for sound non-partisan regulatory reform are spread across a wide network of trade associations, advocacy coalitions, law firms and elected officials. This group of dedicated but disconnected supporters has delivered short-term and project-specific solutions.  The Permitting Institute offers a new model providing a unified, national voice for improving infrastructure permitting. Together, across every affected industry sector, we will help standardize processes, eliminate redundancies, and advance sustainable reforms. Success means environmental, conservation, and development stakeholders agreeing on legislative reforms and best practices, allowing complex projects to move forward.  TPI will serve as the critical forum to make this possible

TPI is building a large membership coalition of diverse entities aligned by common efforts, including project developers, industry trade associations, corporate sponsors, industry representatives, government officials at all levels, Tribes, NGOs, and community leaders.

General Membership

TPI general members will join a new national forum  that transforms political challenges into opportunities for broad-based infrastructure permitting reform.   General members gain entry into a new kind of trade association,  laser-focused on a specific area of policy, a model that will be influential with policymakers and successful for its members.  As the nation attempts to “build back better,” the work of TPI members  will be timely, relevant, and essential, both now and in the years to come.   Services include:

  • A suite of services, resources, and tools to assist project developers over the full life cycle of a project.

  • Partnering with PI leadership experience in guiding the most complex projects in the county to completion, while reducing permitting approval time by 60%, without circumventing environmental protection.

  • Strategic consultation on best practice for limiting potential risks in the form of delays, costs, and litigation.

    • Our services augment your existing project support team of environmental & engineering consultants, legal representatives, and active support from trade associations and lobbyists.

  • Serves as a valuable partner and resource for your team as we identify potential red flags early in the process and collaborate to deliver actionable strategic plans.
